Supporting Women in Finance

We’re delighted to announce that we’ve signed up to the Women in Finance Charter as part of our efforts to increase gender parity both within our organisation and the wider financial services industry.
The Charter, developed by the government, is designed to help foster balanced and diverse workforces, creating fairer and more inclusive environments for people to work in.

By joining the Charter Masthaven has committed to four pledges:
  • Having one member of our senior executive team who is responsible and accountable for gender diversity and inclusion
  • Setting internal targets for gender diversity in our senior management
  • Publishing progress annually against these targets in reports on our website
  • Having an intention to ensure the pay of our senior executive team is linked to delivery against internal targets on gender diversity
Currently, women comprise 47% of staff at Masthaven, holding 34% of all senior management positions and making up 33% of our board of directors.
Since gaining our banking licence in 2016, we’ve launched several initiatives that champion gender diversity, including our ‘Women in Leadership’ and ‘Emerging Leaders’ programmes.
These initiatives, delivered in collaboration with WDI Consulting, are designed to support growing numbers of women in senior and managerial positions at the bank with resources that will assist their career development.

The Bank has launched initiatives to support women in their career development and ensure everyone shares in the company’s success.

Diversity and inclusion need to be at the top of the agenda for every organisation and we’re proud to be signing the Women in Finance Charter as we commit to encouraging female talent across the business.”
