    The Customer Services Specialist will be the first point of contact for Masthaven Bank and will be responsible for all savings customer contact with the Bank.    The savings team will deliver excellent service through all contact channels with its customers: telephone, online, email, internet and post. Contacts will be from both prospective and existing savings customers requiring support and guidance.   The team will also be responsible for all administrative duties for Savings customers including but not limited to; KYC and AML, bereavement and account servicing.

  • Short Term Lending

    Underwrite approved bridging loan applications including heavy refurbishment, commercial and complex loans within company lending criteria and within personal lending mandate. Ensure that the conditions of the Mortgage Illustration or Decision in Principle are adhered to, in full, throughout the processing of the application. Accurately assess the risk attributed to the application ensuring that the loan is both suitable and fit for purpose. Identify any potential fraudulent activity and escalate any concerns to compliance or financial crime. Communicate effectively with relevant parties on the loan, building successful working relationships with brokers, solicitors and valuers. Understand and assess credit reports, documentation relating to verification of employment/self-employment, KYC and valuation reports. Have the confidence to approve/decline applications in line with policy and to effectively communicate your decision to interested parties. Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers alike. Follow and keep up to date with current best practice and regulatory requirements in line with company training. Plays an integral part in supporting management with the training and development of the underwriting team and undertakes various additional responsibilities in support of the risk and control culture of the Bank. Shows a desire to expand existing underwriting knowledge into areas such as development finance.

  • Long Term Lending

    To proactively promote the Masthaven first and second charge proposition to mortgage intermediaries based in a defined region, working closely with the field-based business development managers.   Proactive outbound communication – circa 75% Proactive outbound calling to intermediaries to drive engagement of brokers, actively chasing registration and then initial decision in principle through to application submissionProactively calling intermediaries that have registered but not yet engaged in submitting an application to Masthaven Liaising with brokers to gather the required information for a case to progress to the underwriting team and credit committee Inbound broker engagement – circa 25%   Overseeing the broker registration and due diligence process Dealing with general enquiries received from intermediaries both over the phone and by email  regarding lending criteria, process and approach  Supporting the sales team on general queries and referrals
