The Bromley Council’s planning committee has approved a 92 bed hotel and shop in London Road Bromley. The plans for the hotel and shop were drawn by Skillcrown Homes and Travelodge and were unanimously approved by the council two days ago.
The construction work at the site is expected to begin soon and Travelodge is planning to open the hotel by early 2012, well in time to receive guests by the Olympic games.
Talking about this hotel, Tony O’Brien, UK planning director at Travelodge, said, “Despite being a location that is perfect for both business and leisure travelers, Bromley has a shortage of hotel rooms. We have long-wanted a site in the town and ideally will locate another one soon.”
There won’t be any shortage of rooms in Travelodge’s new hotel since it’s going to have 7000 bedrooms!
